Zach Wilson's preseason stats - The Athletic

In two games against the Jets last season, Josh Allen didn’t have his usual superhuman stat lines. In a 20-17 loss in Week 9, Allen completed 52.9 percent of his passes for 205 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions and injured his elbow toward the end of the game. He did manage a season-high 86 yards and two touchdowns rushing in that game. The Bills beat the Jets later in the second, but again Allen completed only 59 percent of his throws and only 147 yards and a touchdown. But again he rushed for a touchdown and had 46 yards on the ground.

So on what could be a soggy night with rain coming through the area, how will Allen fare against Robert Saleh’s defense this time around? The Bills are now in their second season with Ken Dorsey calling the plays as offensive coordinator, but personnel changes could make Buffalo’s offense look a bit different this year. First-round draft pick Dalton Kinkaid gives the Bills the flexibility to have two tight ends on the field at the same time.

They also added two speedy receivers in Deonte Harty and Trent Sherfield along with two heavier backs in Damien Harris and Latavius Murray. The offensive line has two new starters at guard, too, with rookie O’Cyrus Torrence and Connor McGovern occupying those spots. That’s a lot of new pieces for Allen and Dorsey to manage, and the Jets’ defense provides a challenge right out of the gate. Buffalo’s offense should look different than we last saw it in a dud of a performance against the Bengals in the playoffs.

Kincaid is the most interesting player to track on offense. The Bills have hesitated to rely too much on rookies under Sean McDermott, but during training camp Kincaid looked like a player ready to handle a significant role in this offense. If he proves up to the task, he gives the Bills personnel flexibility that could create matchup problems for opposing defenses.
