Interview: Sean Doron discusses his new single"Youre All I Ever Need," releasing with Frau Blau

Posted by Patria Henriques on Monday, June 3, 2024

Following a run of hugely successful releases on his recently formed Scenarios imprint over the past twelve months, Israeli producer Sean Doron now looks to continue his emphatic run of first-rate studio output away from home, as he teams up with hotly-tipped Turkish artist Marc Gonen for the pair’s eagerly awaited debut collaboration, You’re All I Ever Need, via Tel-Aviv-based imprint, Frau Blau

A sublime creation emerging from the meeting of two musical masterminds, You’re All I Ever Need is a genre-transcending record that maintains the element of surprise throughout. Giving us a first-hand insight into their acutely honed crafts, the two producers come together to deliver a vibrant collaboration of impressive proportions. An emotionally charged sonic journey characterized by melancholic chord progressions and an infectious chanting lead – contrasted against thumping kicks and intricate analog detailing – the record already looks set to be a surefire weapon at clubs and festivals alike over the course of 2023.

Hey Sean Doron, welcome to CelebMix! Could you introduce yourself? What are some of your most important releases so far?

Hey guys thanks for having me! My name is Sean Doron and I’m a DJ and producer from Tel Aviv, Israel. I’ve been releasing music for close to 10 years now, I’m co-founder of Scenarios (record label and collective) and I’m an internationally touring artist

You are dropping your new single “You’re All I Ever Need.” Can you tell us more about this release? What inspired you to write and record it?

I wanted to release a single that a bit different from my comfort zone, I love to explore different  sounds and ideas as an artist.

“You’re All I Ever Need” will be released via Tel-Aviv-based imprint Frau Blau. Could you share more about your collaboration?

Frau Blau is a great label, by my friends Kadosh and Omri. I love the music and the artist they are releasing and it was natural for me to release it there as it’s very similar to their sound.

Are there any other reference imprints / labels you would like to work with in the future?

Pampa records.

On “You’re All I Ever Need,” you work with Turkish artist Marc Gonen. What did your collaboration look like?

Marc is a great Turkish producer, He started this idea and sent it to me, I’ve added some ideas and sounds to it and we both liked the outcome.

How is “You’re All I Ever Need” different from your previous releases?

This single is more deep and futuristic compared to my previous releases. I wanted to explore other ideas as a producer but still keep it as melodic house and techno.

What do you think about Aera’s remix of “You’re All I Ever Need”? Can you name some other artists you would love to see remixing your music?

Aera Remix is huge! I really love him as a producer and I was so happy that he liked the original and agreed to remix it. Remix already been playing by: Adriatique, Ame, Trikk, Black Coffee etc. As for the future it would be a dream to have a remix from DJ Koze.

What other passions do you have other than producing and writing music?

I love art, surfing and traveling the world.

Can you tell us about your plans for 2023? Any gigs, more releases?

2023 started really strong with a Mixmag cover and gigs at festivals such as EDC, SXM and future Scenarios Showcases around the world. Lots of music is coming your way too but I can’t say more right now.
